Overlooking the Pushkar lake, Kishangarh kunj (now named Pushkar Palace) was built by Maharaja of Jaisalmer about 400 years ago and later on presented to Maharaja of Kishangarh. The palace is run under the ownership of Kr. Jagat Singh Rathore of Khanpur. The Hotel Pushkar Palace is classified by the Deptt. of Tourism as a " Heritage Hotel" and is one of the best hotels in town.
